Sherwood Firefighters Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt non-profit organization. Our organization was formed in February 2017 for the purpose of providing assistance to firefighters and fire districts.
We are dedicated to assisting firefighters, rescue, and EMS personnel perform their jobs safely and effectively. As in any profession, there are often much needed resources, equipment, and tools that fire/rescue and EMS budgets simply do not provide for. Insufficient funding often means that critical on-scene safety and rescue equipment is wanting.
Unlike most professions, however, the consequences of firefighting, rescue, and EMS personnel not having these critical resources and items can have tragic results for both victims and first responders alike.
To support these needed services our focus is on (a) funding equipment that is critical to the emergency scene life and safety; (b) helping a functional department to function better; and (c) providing equipment that can be shared on a regional basis.
